I've got an '83 240DL wagon, and a few mornings ago it wouldn't start. The engine would turn, but not start up. Later that afternoon I tried starting it again and it started right up as usual. I drove it after that incident, and a few miles down the road it acted like it had shifted in to neutral (in a sense)--it wouldn't respond to the gas pedal, and in fact when I pressed on the gas pedal the engine seemed to bog down and threaten to stall. Eventually it did totally stall. After a few minutes of trying to restart, it finally did, but that's not normal. I suspect a fuel delivery problem. What do you think? Thanks!
