It was a dark and cloudy night on Highway 83. Rain poured down as I drove a powerful silver '86 745 Volvo turbo from Denver to Colorado Springs. For the most part the wipers seemed to work perfectly. Then, toward the end of my journey, strange things started happening. The wipers, in first speed, started to struggle as if something had a stranglehold on them. They thrashed slower and slower, then as if giving up a last breath, died.
Much to my relief I found that the wipers came to life when switched to high speed. I completed my journey in safety.
Later that evening, on a short trip to a store, the wipers on low speed seemed to work again. However, as I drove on, the wipers slowed down, and stopped.
End of the novel.
So bricksters, what's the solution to my wiper problem?
