Fu*ed by the shift lock 200 1993

Now that I have your attention, here's a reminder I forgot, Again!

I've been fused again!

My shift-lock interlock was broken, and I didn't feel like learning how to get into it and replace what surely was a bad micro-switch. Took it to the local friendly independant Volvo mechanic, who quickly diagnosed a corroded fuse. When will I learn. If it's electrical, it's always a good idea to check the fuse. This weekend I am going to clean the whole fuse block, install new copper fuses with di-electric grease.

The cool thing is that he diagnosed it for no charge and adjusted my kickdown cable for free too. So, if you're in the Knoxville/Oak Ridge area, I highly recommend Mark Downing, owner of Trans Tech in Oak Ridge. He's done some other fine work for me too.

Tom
