Kevlar Brake Linings for the PV 444-544

A friend is doing kevlar brake linings for Brit cars and has said he can do them for my P210 as well. This is a car to be driven on the street.

Have any of you gone to a kevlar drum brake conversion?

Is the braking better than with normal drum brake linings?

Are the kevlar linings a better alternative than converting to disc brakes. (Obviously cheaper but are they as good as disc)

Im interested in experiences and opinions both positive and negative.
