The passenger seat on the wife.gov's 965 managed to get into the highest position at the front and it would not go down. It was really strange riding in it too. I decided enough was enough. I took the trim piece off, unscrewed the torx screws and saw the controls were soldered to a circuit board. These controls have a small square base to them. They appear to snap together but I didn't want to chance it, I didn't want to unsolder the control, unsnap the block and have a few springs and a ball bearing fly in different directions. So I drilled a hole in the side, shot some tuner cleaner into the hole and tried the switch. Success, it worked. The seat now functions properly and it now sits down all the way in front.
This may also work for window controls.
