Possible purchase of '92 244 GL - need feedback 200

I'm looking at buying a '92 244 GL. The dealer said it has a new steering rack. Would this be evidence of a wreck or hitting a curb? Also, they want $6500 for the car. It has all new belts, hoses, plugs, wires, rotor, cap, tires, tranny flush and fill, conversion to R134 a/c, all new engine and tranny seals. I think the radiator has been replaced but with the Volvo plastic tank variety. I called a bank and they would allow $5600 as high retail. -- Any advice or comments?
