Puller needed for front wheel bearing replacement? 200 1990

Can someone tell me if a standard bearing puller (2 or 3 point claw type) will work, or is even needed for removal of the inner race from the spindle. I've never had them apart before, and the pics in Bentley don't really illustrate the area very well.

Any tips on this job are welcome also.

I've got plenty of experience w/bearings - so I know the basics. Thanks.
