TPS Questions 700

I've determined that I need to replace the TPS on my 89 740GL SW. Couple of questions:

1. Is the TPS a standard part that i could get at a NAPA or other parts store or is it volvo-specific?

2. Am I looking for a Throttle Position Switch or a Throttle Position Sensor? Are they the same thing? The names seem to be used interchangeably.

3. Could I get away with using a salvage yard TPS or should I buy one new?
