Freeze 12 in the a/c 900 1991

Last year I had my a/c switched to freeze 12, a shop did it for me. This year i need to add to it as it is low. I have the necessary equipment to do it , but i!m not positive were to screw the Schrader fitting to. Is it correct the big is the low pressure side? If so can I hook on to the dryer which is on the fire wall? This is on a 1991 940 turbo. Does anyone have any comments to make about freeze 12? Thanks
