Turbo going/gone bad? 700

Hey Bricksters,

I own a 1988 765ti w/185,xxx, Just today my engine bay started to make an odd noise and I think its the turbo:-( When not in the boost at all the car sounds normal, when you get into the boost and listen you hear a tapping/ticking noise its pronounced, something you can obivously hear. There is still power in the boost range, like nothing is wrong. What can I do to see if my turbo is going?
