I have a 1986 Volvo 240 gl that I had changed the engine out from a 1983. The 1983 engine ran great, the 86 had a blown head gasket. I used the wire harness from the 1986 and connected to the 83 engine. I get power to the coil, but nothing coming out of the coil, no spark. I only get fuel if I jump the pumps. The Volvo repair show said he is too busy and is farming out work. The Volvo dealer is 30 miles away. I replaced the distributer in a last ditch effort because someone told me it could be the hall sensor. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I feel like a Volvo dummy because I never had a problem like this working on a Chevy or Ford.
