Electrical Fault - please help 900 1992

940 auto estate, 1992, 2.0 litre petrol, RH drive.

Sometimes when I turn the ignition key no service lights show on the dashboard (ignition, oil, abs, bulb failure, brake failure, parking brake, etc).
Often the overdrive light is on. If I operate the overdrive switch the service lights come on. Sometimes they don't come on at all. I suspect it's just a bad connection somewhere. Any ideas?
