New to 960 world 900 1994

Okay, here it goes….In January I purchased a used 1994 960 with 96k on the clock and paying only $5k for a very clean sedan. Paint is a pearlish white with gray leather interior. I replaced an ’86 BMW 535i 5speed. Big change in car for me but have grown like the Volvo a lot.
I have done the obligatory repairs since purchase, this includes PnP transmission switch 7 days after purchase. Front struts have also been replaced with parts to replace ball joints, tie-rod ends and all other front bushing currently taking up space on my dining room table.
I also have a few more problems that need to be ironed out; I am having trouble with the transmission shifting. Most to the time the car shifts normally, but after sitting in stop and go traffic while it is warm outside the car will start shifting very early. It seems that the car will be in 4th gear with torque converter lockup up by the time the car hits 35-40mph. Once the car cools down or I drive long enough at a steady speed the shifting returns to normal. Also the lights for headlight switch and recently climate control have gone out. I can not find a way to remove the wood paneling around these parts to gain access. I am also looking for a headlight lens for the passenger side; I have gotten a few fish eyes in this one lens but have not been able to find one at a reasonable price.
I am also looking for a repair shop here in Albuquerque. I enjoy working on my cars, but there are always the times when school, work and other projects do not allow for the time. If any one has input on a good shop in my area let me know also
