Idle question 700

Finished with my Auto to manual conversion yesterday. If you don't have a manual get one. I an looking for every excuse to drive the car anywhere. Irv you may get some competition on total miles. Anyway I can't get the idle below about 950-975. I have cranked the idle screw in as far as I can. I also checked the adjustment of the throttle cable making sure there was a little slack. Any ideas on how I can get it down another 150-200 rpm.
