Wagon hatch sealed! 200

I had been getting exhaust smell in the car and suspected the rear hatch seal leaked. Today I went to Ace hardware and bought 3/16 x 1.25 self adhesive weather striping. I cleaned off the surface around the hatch and carefully stuck on four strips, working the top, sides and bottom separately. I wrapped the weather strip over the edge on the sides. The adhesive worked better than I expected and the strip wraped easily onto the inside and outside curves. I cut out around the supports and the rubber bumpers. A test drive showed fewer rattles and no exhaust smell. Cost about $12 and 1 hour.
