quality changes to fuel pump relays- When were they upgraded? 700

I was wondering when did volvo change it quality of componants inside their fuel pump relays and when was this change made ? Just currious about the coils and sodiering , and the better boards used. A 1988 fpr and a 1994 fpr are very different in thier overall quality; copper instead of brass as one example and so on. Anyone know ??? Please reply if you have any info on this issue. Dan.
