Howling noises - sounds like a bad horror movie... 200 1986

Well now I've got some special FX coming out of my brick... when I take off from a standstill, I hear this loud howling sound, like if you blew into a half full glass bottle. The noise keeps going for a while, but as I start to pick up speed (20mph+) it disappears. Anyone care to take a guess? Rear diffrential making noises? What's the cure, fill it up with sawdust and sell the thing?
