I got a couple of questions to ask. First, i've got an '87 740 no-turbo, with a ZF automatic trans. Question is that cold (as temp gauge cold) performance is terrible, with a bit of bucking, etc. for the first minute or so. Also, when cruising down the road after all is warmed up, if I begin to accelerate up a hill, I feel a slight hesitation. Maybe ignition? I cleaned the dist. cap which was filthy inside, and that may have helped a bit, but I can't find any specs on the plug wires to test the resistance on them. Any other ideas on what may be the culprit? Timing is set @ 12 degrees like the sticker under the hood says, plugs are clean and gapped right, new fuel pump and filter. New knock sensor. Any ideas? Alao, what is a hall sensor for, and does it hurt to be dangling by the wire off the back of the distributor? Thanks in advance for the help.
