Control knob on driver seat, easy to switch side? 200 1990

Hi! I would like some tips on doing this... A couple of weeks ago I switched side the front seats but the control know for the seats was unreachable, so I switched back the seats thinking it would be easier to find a used driver seat instead of switching side the knob. But alas, I can't find a better used seat then mine (here in Montreal a lot of taxi drivers use volvo so the used driver seat are mostly destroyed at the scrapyard...).

So now I'm thinking of switching side the seat again but this time I would like to modify the knob, any tips? Is it easy to switch the side of the knob?
