My reliable '93 240 decides to give me a brief check engine light briefly after starting the car, a little longer than the normal idiot light stays on.
Of course, I'm getting ready to leave tomorrow to move back to the Northeast, and have a 700 mile trip ahead of me and my Bentley's on the moving truck (stupid, I know)
I'm thinking AMM or O2 sensor is starting to die. Gas mileage has been down slightly a few mpg over the past few weeks. I'm I on track? Should I buy a spare 02 sensor. Can I drive with it failed? What should I do if the check engine light comes on during the trip? Is this something I can easily change on the road?
Thanks, Tom
