yeah so after flushin out 10 quarts of BROWN tranny fluid my bertone and being moderately pleased with the results (cuz a tiny improvement is better than fucking it up worse) I am on my way to register my car right.. oil light started commin on..I had a bad habbit of ignoring my oil lights in my other cars and wasn't about to blow this engine.. or at least not yet cuz I need to save some $ for my TreeFiddy (SBC 350) that imma cram in mah ride. checked my dipstick.. it was a lil low but still in the safe zone.. immediately pulled over...added a quart... started drivin.. sho nuff that damn light was still comin on.. well here is the deal.. when your goin it's off. at idle in park its off.. but when the revs are really low or when your coming to a stop it flashes on for a sec then goes back off....
Aite boys (and girls... especially tha hotties) tell me whut the hell is causing this.... i snagged an oil pressure gauge from one of mah homeboys stash of volvo parts.. haven't had a chance to hook it up yet.. its a 5-bar guage though and Im not sure if i can even hook it up with the oil pressure sender thats in my car right now.. keep in mind this is the b27 POS errr PVR V6 engine.. we started tearing apart a b27 today thats in my friends junk 264 so we could see how it worked and what not.. its is the most retarted engine design in the world.. I want to shoot the designers of it.. maybe stab them so they die a slow painfull death.. or even worse.. make them have it in their car!
basically whats the fucking deal with my car.. i don't want to drive it if the oil light is flickering.. oil level is fine so its not low or something.. seeing as this is my only car at the moment i need to rectify this problem asap... my plan is to drop the oil pan and check out that pickup sump filter bullshit whatever you call it..... we took apart the oil pump on homeboys 264 and that thing looks pretty damn hardcore and I don't really think that the problem is within the oil pump itself becuase if it was tore up then I would have no oil pressure at all.. or it would be a lot worse than it is now. besides its SUCH A BITCH to take off that I would rather just drop a new engine in that bitch than replace the oil pump (cuz ya have to remove your radiator, ac condensor, power steering pump, take off the valve covers (not REALLY but you need to take 2 bolts off the valve covers to take the timing chain cover off which means your valve cover gaskets are shot to hell), then take off the crankshaft pulley, take off the water pump fan, then take off the timing chain cover.. all to get to the damn oil pump.. you 240 fuckers have it easy.. drop the oil pan and whallah
am I on the right track(pickup sump filter bullshit thingie) or should I be lookin elsewhere.... just lemme knw what I gotta do
