Wheel Woes 900 1995

Recently got my summer wheels balanced (Eagle HP something) and am now having some brake pulsing at highway speed. Any comments greatly appreciated.

The story - in brief.

Two weeks ago got the tires balanced. Afterwards highway speeds 60mph, I would get a little shimmy in the steering wheel and pulse in the brake peddle - Had none before. I doubled checked torque and was 78-80 Ft/lbs (I watched them torque by hand, but they over-torqued. They did use an air gun only low - I watched them do it, then torqued by hand.) Went back tonight- they wanted to rebalance first. Front R wheel was out of balance by 1 oz - they proceeded to rebalanced all four - torqued by hand. They said the out of balance was the problem.

Went for another drive and lots more shake and pulsing than before. There is no shaking at 65-70 when no brakes only pulsing when now braking. Went back and with the shift manager by my side and my trusty torque wrench showed them they still over torqued.

FL 4 nuts @ 65 1 @ 78
FR 5 nuts @ 71-73
RR 1 at 78. I then stopped.

Of course they're telling me I had the problem before this - by the way they refused to go for a test drive both before and after just told me to come back if not happy. They now say the wheels are bad, but were fine when balanced - ie no curb rash or anything.

The question is could this overtightening result in warping the rotors. Ie the first time they overtorqued. Or any of the subsequent events.

Is there anything I should do that could help my case - or is it a lost cause?

I've only got 41,000 miles on the car. Yes 41K.

Thanks.
