ECC spitting 1-5-1 help plueeeeezzze! 900 1991

Hi folks,

My 1991 16 valve good for nothing lemon is up to no good again. I saw the ECC A/C OFF light was blinking. Pull out the 1-5-1 code. I checked with the codes list I have and it says "D+ signal level in generator". And the fault class says its serious.

What in a world does this means and where am I should be looking for the generator and what is the corrective action to be taken? I am lost here and a little pointer will be greatly appreciated. Maybe its time this board comes up with layout of the components in Volvos. That can be a great help for ignorant like me. :)
