I have this really peculiar problem with the lights in the center console of my Volvo 740 GLE wagon. The backlights that should light up behind the climate control area and the lights for the switches for the sunroof, foglamps, and defroster usually don't work. But they do sometimes, and in a completely unpredictable fashion. I can say it's not the switch, the dimmer, or the fuses, since all of these check out and probably would not be so intermitant. Does anybody have any suggestions on what else I should look at? The rest of the dashboard is fine and the lights on the shifter and heated seat switches always work fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
