AC Switch Repair Replace?? 200 1986

Hello everyone,
While doing the Bentley ECU tests a couple of weeks ago the only thing I found wrong was the signal from the AC microswitch. It says open circut when off and varing resistance when on and rotating the knob.
Mine was a couple of OHMS when off and little change when on and rotated. Temporarily I snipped the wire at the ECU (winter here in OZ)but I am planning to revive before summer with new refrigerant etc.
Do I need to replace the switch outright?..If so where is the best place to buy one?
