Swap bumpers with later car? 700 1990

Hello,
Having a 1990 740TW with the faded bumpers (that are all chewed up to boot) I was curious if it was possible to easily replace them with either later model (say 940/960) or 760 model bumpers. All of the options I'm interested in are painted which is more attractive to me that the flat black and now very faded gray stock versions. (Assuming I can find the correct color (black)
