Overdrive kickout-Part Two 700

I asked the board the other day about an intermittant issue with the overdrive on my 87 740 GLE the other day. Pulled the relay, resoldered (it definately had some questionable solder joints), and then it happened again this morning. Driving along about 70mph, overdrive kicked out for perhaps a count of three, then back in. This time, however, I happened to be looking at the dash the moment it happened, and my OD light stayed on the entire time. Does this suggest bad contacts at the solanoid or a failing solanoid?
