What's my Brake Warning Light warning me about? 700 1990

Well, here's my next "new 700/900 series owner" question. When my right foot (mysteriously) hits the floor and somehow the turbo goes full boost for 5 to 10 seconds, the brake warning light comes on for about 10 seconds and then goes off. My guess is that I've lost vacuum, since the heat/AC vents also cycle, but any reassurance or news or impending doom would be helpful. Or, I could maybe just put black tape over the light? Thanks.
