Unhooking heater control hose 200

I am in the process of replacing my heater control valve but am having trouble disconecting the two hose from the heater control valve.

I have loosened the clamps on the hose but can't get them to come off.
Any suggestions? - I've tried getting angry but that didn't do much good...
