740 turbo hesitation... 700

My 1985 740 turbo hesitates sometimes and i dont know why. About once a week, i get in the car and try to drive it and the following happens:

It revs to 4500-5000 rpm before shifting(its an automatic)

it runs very high boost(almost into the red zone)

It goes really ,really ,really, really slow

It only does this about once a week, and only in the morning. I would apprecicate and help that you guys can give me.
