rear shocks and bushings, DIY or $460 200

I just found out my rear bushings are wasted, causing the clunk I have been hearing. Now, is $460 reasonable to replace the bushings and shocks? Is this something a novice mechanic with regular tools can do, or are a lot of specialty tools involved? Any advice appreciated, thanks.
