M46 synthetic fluid change 700

Hi,
I have previously been told on this board to change to synthetic fluid for my M46 gearbox shifting woes. I am a bit confused by the owners manual recommendations, and what EXACTLY to buy. The manual calls for type F fluid....all i can find is regular type F in the stores, NOT any synthetics that appear to be a replacement. Can someone recommend an exact brand/type to buy.
