ok, i took out the car today after reinstalling the old AMM. i checked fuses, i checked the fuel pump relay (looks like the dude before me got a new one of those while trying to fix same problem) and so on. here's the deal, and this is what i've observed so far. when i first take it out, it misses on acceleration slightly, but after a few miles of driving that seemed to get better till it was almost accelerating normally. but anytime i downshift, or let the engine go from anything above idle, to idle, it stalls. but immediately it will start back up and idle fine until i took off again and then the same thing repeated. then eventually, after a few more restarts, the battery couldnt crank it anymore, and i had to roll start it one final time before taking it back home. this time its very much worse as far as the miss goes and doesnt even hardly want to stay at speed, let alone accelerate. i was able to nurse it home, and even get it to idle by slowing the rpm's down with the accelerator rather than just lifting completely. so now, this to me looks like something to do with the fuel pump not getting enough gas into the engine in time, but i dont know for sure. any suggestions?
