Alternator wire replacement 200 1982

Recently my alternator, parking and brake lights came on and I traced the problem to an exposed, small wire that is part of the wiring harness going to the alternator. Seems to be a ground. A few more filaments deteriorated. I wrapped them back around, and the lights went out.

Is there a best way/ procedure/ place to buy either the whole harness or part of it?
