96 960 starting to almost stall 900

Hi Everyone,
My 96 960 hasn't had many problems in the last few months but now I have started to see a new problem. Under severe braking when the car stops I noticed that the Car revs drop below 500 RPM's at night this causes all the lights to go dim for a second, sometimes I get a rough idle. The car usually doesn't stall but last night I came to a hard stop and the car stalled I had to put it into neutral and restart it. I havent figured out what the problem is but I know its not the coil packs or the intake manifold were all replaced a year and a half ago. I have just replaced the Spark plugs but this problem was happening before that. Thanks for any input.
