tranny not down-shifting 900

Hello Everyone,

The AW40 tranny in my 960 failed to downshift today as I slowed to take a corner. As I tried to accelerate out of the corner I noticed that the engine was bogging. I put it in neutral and then back to drive and all seems well. Is the tranny dying? The car has been maintained well.
