240 stalls, planning a trip?? 200 1988

I have an '88 245 (106k)that's been occasionaly stalling out at slower speeds and redlights. Always restarts. This seems to be the same problem that a lot of other people have posted. Had the throttle body cleaned and idle adjusted, but still have the problem. Planning an 800 mile roadtrip tomorrow and was wondering if it was safe to go? It has never stalled above 20-25 mph. Opinions, please. Thanks.
