Up here in the Twin/Cities ,
Have volvos in my blood since hi-school, used 444's for dunebugys. Got a '70wagon in storage ,got rid of all the 164's, still have a couple of 245's pluss the 760t wagon.
Anyway the problem with the 760t is that the dash-intereior vent's with the recircluation dampe do not work, all the vacume line items. The fan works , the AC is charged & cools(just does not make it into the car) the temp knob works , the elec. servo moves. Vacume on the tank line is there & holds after the engine is off,the one to the inside temp. sensor gets vacume , but does not hold it, which is ok, I think.
The car sat about 16 months w/ a blown head gskt. in a garage about half the time..the house took a big lightning hit(blew the fone jacks off the wall) while the car was in the gar.
Already tried a different switch pack (the plug in unit all 3 switches) the vents still did not work , it did before and after in the doner car it was borrowed from.
back to the wagon , what is the vacume line that goes back along the passenger side or where is it going? , I've followed it past the passenger door, but don't see it back in any of the storage areas.
While we are at it , the auto-trany does not go into 4th(overdrive) untill it heats up--changed the relay ,& the fluid also the kick down cable (or what ever it is called). The amount of time for it to shift up depends on how hot it is outside..then it works just fine untill the car cools.
Help it's hotter up here than HOUSTON, Tx.. Thanx for any help..DrZ
