U will not be surprised to hear that my "beauty," 85 740T, is yet to have any problems. But inevitably, I am in the habit of running out of gas and when I did (momentum got me to gas stn.), 2 weeks ago, car hesitated to start and break pedal got very stiff. Mechaninc said need to replace plastic cap covering brake booster (?), under hood right behind engine, to its left (while facing windshield) - he wound plastic tape and problem fixed for most part. My very silly question is what would be the most economical way to go about finding this part (it's just that the idea of spending more than what a small piece of plastic is worth is a bit itchy)
I would greatly appreciate any help (if you may be wondering as to why a fool is asking such a ridiculously trivial question; it is the xcitemnt of having found such a ridiculously helpful service, one wld. never have imgnd. could xist. But the problem does xist though)
