1993 245 (Improved Stock Suspension?) 200 1993

I now have my third brick - a '93 245. The other two 245's I've owned (an '88 and '89) had much harsher rides, even after installing new boge turbo gas shocks/struts. I read somewhere that in the early 90's the suspension was "re-tuned." Can anybody out there explain what Volvo did to improve things?

Also, the rear of my wagon is somewhat low. Would going to HD Cargos and Bilsteins from FCP Groton undo an already decent ride.
