1988 non-interference engines 700

Greetings fellow Volvo owners!

Does anyone know if the 1988 740 B230 engines are non interference or interference? Or if any other B230 engine is non interference. In other words if the timing belt popped would the engine be damaged? My distributor cap is on the back on the engine sideways. I am good for another timing beltin about 30,000 miles (every 48-50,000) but i was just wondering.

Thanks in advance.

88 740 GLE (non turbo)wagon 344,000 miles.
