Motor Mount Nut Removal Problems 700 1991

Got new motor mounts from FCP Groton. Put the car on ramps to get a look from the top and bottom as to what I was getting into. FAQs have said this is more a muscle than a finesse job. I tried loosening the center nut in the middle of the collapsed mount, passenger side, just to see how much muscle I was going to have to put into it. Several scraped knuckles accompanied by some words that I haven't used since I retired from the Navy and the darn thing did not budge. I had PBlaster'd all the bolts I would be struggling with, twice each day for two days, prior to attempting this.

The current mounts were installed by my Indy Volvo Mech. Does it sound like the mounts are over-tightened (pneumatic wrench perhaps), or is this normal?

I will be attempting the surgery at the Ft. Lee (VA) Auto Hobby Shop so I will have access to a number of pneumatic tools. If the mounts are just over-tightened, and I can bust them out with an air wrench, what is the proper torque setting on the re-tighten? I could not find any figures in the FAQ's or Haynes, and no instructions in the box the mounts came in. As I understand it, a number of you folks consider changing mounts a regular part of brick maintenance and do it every couple of years.

I just want to do this right the first time so the next time (2004 or so) the job goes a bit easier.

Regret the length of the post.

Thanks in advance for any input.
