Hello all,
My name is Saul i just recently purchased a 1991 940 turbo wagon with 300k miles on it,You can't tell by looking at it trust me. The car is very clean and strong running, i'm very impressed as to how the car feels and rides considering the milage. I must state that this is my first Volvo i was primarily a Japanese car kind of guy. The reason for purchasing the car is that i am expecting my first child in about a month and i wanted something practical, safe, and yet somewhat sporting. The 940T fit the bill even though the suspension leaves a little bit to be desired, but that can be taken care of. I am truly happy with my purchase and i am banking on the well known fact that Volvo's are highly reliable, with the diapers and formula i am going to be purchasing very soon i can't afford to be spending money on fixing my car:)
The car does a few minor things wrong with it and i am hoping you all can shed some light on how to go about fixing them. First the electric fan for the A/C does not come on when i turn on the A/C causing it to blow hot air when the car sits at a red light or i am parked with the A/C on. Once i start moving again it begins to blow cold air again. I have not tested the fan yet, but i would think it will be ok it usually is a relay or fuse and all my fuses are fine. Does anyone know where the relay is and how to test it?
Second, and this one is more like an annoyance than a problem, but it seems that everytime i take a turn with my car the seatbelt chime and light go on, does anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this?
I hope to hear back from some of you,and Thanks SAUL
