Upshift arrow doesn't come on in 4th/No O.D.(M-46) 200 1986

Hi,
My 1986 245 DL has had/has problems with the O.D.
When I got the car(2 mos. ago) it worked then would only work when trans was cold.Then it would only work with rear defrost on(same fuse)I rewired the tailgate and now the rear defrost works but no O.D.
The relay has been resoldered and clicks when engaged and the'5' lights up on the dash.The upshift arrow works in gears 1-3 but doesn't come on in 4th.
What should I check next? Solenoid?4th gear switch?
