fuel pressure regulator broke i think 700

reposting this since i think the other one got overlooked. while i'm at it, i should just point out to the newer/unaware users that you should set your preferences so that it shows the message headers in order of "Modified date" instead of "Creation" so that you can see which messages have been recently updated. :-)

In any case:

i finally got the gauge in permanently, no leaks, etc. air tight seal.

i started the car up, after it was already warmed up. idle is ~30 PSI.

i rev the engine up out of idle, it spikes to around 38, and it dips back down. the pressure is not able to exceed 40. i've yanked the line off the FPR and it never exceeds 40.

this can't be normal....

any ideas??

*edit* this was posted because i updated the other one with some pertinent information and was afraid it'd get overlooked for those who don't have it set to sort according to "Modified Date" and this isn't because i thought the other thread got completely overlooked. just the recent update i made. AHEM MR. VROOM *end edit*
