89 744Ti - torque converter stall lower than it should be ?? 700 1989

Hello...

89 744Ti - When I apply the brake and floor the car, in drive, the tach goes up to about 1500 or 1600 RPM then creeps up towards 1700 or so... is this normal?

I seem to recall the turbo cars (240s atleast) came with 2500 RPM stall converters... so it should be reving up further on a powerbrake? Or are the 700 series different? I'm MUCH more knowledgable on 240's than the 700 series ...

Let me know if this is normal or not :)

Thanks,
-Nathan
