hi guys, I'm still stumped as to why my car is doing this. My "power problem" is really above 3500 and below 2000. It has plenty of power under boost, but it sucks off the line, and sucks above 3500 rpm. I've driven other 700turbos that were great off the line. (nothing like my mom's honda odyssey 3.5V6, but still) My dad's former '90 745t was great off the line (damnit i wish he'd kept that car) as well. It needed a new turbo too. I won't accept that it's due to the high milage simply because one of those other 700turbos I drove was an '88 764T with 264,000.
Second off, it is hard to start when cold and idles slightly rough all the time.
Help guys? I had it looked at yesterday by my previous trusted mechanic, he looked at it, revved it up, watched the tach and boost gauge, and he said "this is just too responsive to have a plugged cat". He was short on time and so was I, so we left it at that. He disconnected this little thing (electrical) on the CBV?(does the CBV go to the airbox-->turbo hose?) and things got little better. Still the same symptoms though. I think I could be in the high 15's at the dragway if the car would hold the power out to 5000-5500 like it should.
Could all this be a bad FPR, improper ignition timing, bad fuel filter, etc? All help is appreciated...
