Re: Brake light 700

Greetings:

I have just replaced my front brake pads (7-25-02). It was a very simple procedure. They were worn down about 3/4 of the way (no scrapping/piston/seal damage). My question is: this morning I notice the brake light to illuminate. I figured that I would not need to bleed the calipers, because there was never a direct disconnection. I have driven a full 200 miles before the light came on (7-26-02). The brake pedal itself feels good, not really spongy but not really hard either. I am able to brake very well. My brake fluid levels are ok (just under the "MAX" line), might there be some air in the system? I have no leakage, and my caliper seals/brake lines are in good condition. When I pump the pedal up (engine off) I get lots of pressure, and upon starting (foot still on pedal) it drops slightly, which would be a normal indication. I notice upon pumping the pedal that the light sort of dims as though it wants to go out. Also what is a good procedure for bleeding a caliper with double bleeder valves, all insight would be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards
