'89 760t dashboard removal 700 1989

So, I'm finally getting around to replacing the heater core that went bad on me last winter.

Rant - Our friends at Volvo don't have TP8202031 which the climate control manual references. They do have TP8202041 which is for Canadian cars......in French. While I took a few years of French in high school and college, it was all conversational, not technical. Oh well, at least I can understand a few words, and the pictures have been very helpful.

So, I am happily tearing apart the interior of the car, and I have run into one issue. I can't get the steering wheel angle/height adjuster off. This is stopping me from being able to get to the wiring on the steering wheel, which is stopping me from pulling the dash.

ANY help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated. I've already broken a few plastic things and really want to limit the amount of things I have to hunt for at the PnP.

Thanks!
Eric
