Oh the things that keep me up at night.. morning.. err.. whenever. I was reading Click and Clack (bad habit, I know) and someone had written in about whether or not they should check the oil with the engine warm or not. Apparently two of the former big three had started calibrating their dipsticks (ha, ha, ha.) for warm engines, expecting there to be some oil remaining in the head, apparently most mfrs expect that the owner will check the oil before driving. So of course I had to check the owner's manual, which makes no mention of when the oil should be checked.
Usually I wouldn't worry about such things (my previous car(s) can attest to that), but given how a turbo likes oil.. I'm sorta curious.
When do you guys check the oil?
